Charity
Enstruct is dedicated to fostering financial knowledge, efficient markets, and best practices implementation worldwide, even for institutions and entities who can typically not afford such services. One of the most successful innovations in the worldwide financial markets has been microfinance initiatives (MFI). Enstruct supports microfinance through monetary and service based donations to Relief International (www.ri.org).
Founded in 1990, Relief International provides emergency, rehabilitation and development services that empower beneficiaries in the process. RI’s programs include health, shelter construction, education, community development, agriculture, food, income-generation, and conflict resolution. RI employs an innovative approach to program design and a high quality of implementation performance in demonstrating deep and lasting impact in reducing human suffering worldwide.
In November of 2008 Enstruct conducted a site visit and pro bono training for Relief International in Beirut, Lebanon. Various MFIs and local banks attended the two day, customized training to assist in analyzing new and existing microfinance loan portfolios. Included with this training were unique exercises and models to assist in credit risk analysis.
Currently, in 2009, Enstruct is developing a simulation based microfinance transaction model to assist in the creation of a microfinance fund that would create loans for housing related projects.
